When I was growing up, rock bands from the 90's and early 2000's were massively influential to me. Those artists were the first I'd ever heard that expressed the feelings of loneliness, anxiety, angst, and insecurity that I was feeling as a result of a chaotic childhood. Moreover, the guys in those bands were the coolest people I had ever seen, and I knew from very early on that I wanted to be like them.
At age fourteen I wrote my first song as a way of working through my first heartbreak. The catharsis I felt from expressing myself through music sparked a deep and long lasting passion that exists as strongly as ever today.
As a result of recording my early songs, I took an interest in music production and engineering. Though these skills were purely utilitarian at first, they eventually grew to become a full fledged passion, on a scale equal to my love of songwriting. Because of that, I chose to study audio engineering at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, and landed a job as a full time assistant for producer Peter Katis, best known for his work with The National, Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, and others.

Today, I'm passionate about writing music that is as true and as vulnerable as the music that shaped me as a kid, and producing, recording, and mixing it in ways that are modern and fresh. I'm enjoying every step of this journey, and I can't wait to continue building an audience that will grow alongside me!
